There are medicines effective for male-pattern hair loss. Tablets including finasterid prevent testosterone from converting to DHT.
Prescription medication must be taken daily. Dosage and the duration vary according to the patient’s age and hair loss density. Patients are advised to continue taking these medicines after hair transplantation.
